Family Portraits

Probably the most difficult part of producing a family portrait is
getting everyone together at the same time and same place.
(especially the DADS :) !!!) And then you will need to decide if
you prefer a formal portrait or one that is a bit more casual. This
will influence not only your portrait clothing choice - but the
location of your portrait session.

TRADITIONAL, FORMAL..."Your Sunday Best"
A traditional formal look is timeless and captures special memories
of favorite dress outfits.
Select solid-color dress clothing or formal-wear for a classic portrait
look.

CASUAL
The casual look is warm & fun. Dress your family in jeans and
coordinating shirts or sweaters.
Or get creative! Maybe grandma made the whole family matching
scarves? Bring them along! Maybe your family all supports the
same sports team? Bring your jerseys!

HELPFUL HINTS:
*Choose a color theme (solid colors are best) and clothing style that
represents your family. (light & dark clothing shouldn't be mixed)
*Casual and Formal Attire should NOT be mixed!
*Long sleeves are recommended for adults to focus attention on
the face. Short sleeves are fine for infants and children.
*Dark-colored pants or skirts with matching hosiery are most
flattering for women.
*Necklines are important. A scoop or v-neck is best if your neck
is short and your face is full. A turtleneck or high-necked garment
is more flattering if your neck is longer and your face is slender.
*Bring special props such as musical instruments, sporting
equipment, Bibles, etc.
*Pets are welcome!!!
*Be sure to coordinate your shoes with your clothing. Shoes may
show in some poses.
*Simple hairstyles and natural makeup are best. Hair should be
trimmed neatly, but not cut within 48 hours of your portrait
sitting.
*Keep in mind that white clothing may add the look of extra
weight; dark colors tend to be slenderizing.

Whether in your home, an outside location - I want your
family to look their best.
Outside sessions are best done in the late afternoon.
I also suggest scheduling two (2) appointments for outdoor sessions. If
the weather is bad on the first day, we have a back up date already in
place. Believe it or not... the outside elements are beyond my control!!!

Inside Session Fee - $60.00
Outside Session Fee - $50.00

Your Session Fee Includes:
*Complimentary 8 x 10 from poses taken
*All images resized on CD (for computer viewing only)
(CD will be mailed to within 5 business days of session)
*Mileage up to 100 miles round trip travel from my location in Akron NY
(Mileage over the alloted amount will be billed at .75 per additional mile)

*A proof book can be made available which will enable you to share your
proofs w/ friends & family who may not have computer or internet access.
(Your proof book will be mailed within 5 business days of session)
Proof book $50.00

PAYMENT
The following will need to be paid in full on the day of photography either by cash or check*

*I will be happy accept your check for payment - but should it be returned for any reason - you will be responsible for a $25.00
returned check fee and any fees associated w/the returned check. All future payments will need to be made by cash or money order.
